Shubble

A safer, simpler way for families to book and manage school transport

Shubble brings families, drivers and the operations team into one connected transport platform. Parents can arrange and follow trips, drivers know exactly what their day looks like, and staff can manage the whole service without chasing updates across different tools.

01 The problem

Families deserve clarity. Operators deserve control.

School transport carries a different kind of responsibility. A parent is not sending a parcel across town; they are trusting another person with their child. They need to know who the driver is, when the vehicle is arriving and what is happening if the plan changes.

Drivers need the same clarity from the other side. Their day should arrive as an organised route with the right passengers, places and contact details — not a stream of last-minute messages. And the Shubble team needs to see the entire operation clearly enough to step in before a small exception becomes a serious problem.

The old way of joining these people together through calls, chats, spreadsheets and separate payment records created too many blind spots. Shubble needed one service that could hold the whole journey together.

Families know who is driving and what is happening

  • 01Drivers start each day with a clear plan
  • 02Staff can spot and resolve exceptions in one place
  • 03Routine work stays connected without hiding exceptions

Shubble now has a working foundation for a family transport service that is easier to understand and easier to operate. Families have one place to arrange and follow trips. Drivers have a clearer day. Staff can manage routine work quickly and still take control when the situation needs a person.

The platform is on its launch path rather than presented as a scaled service before it is ready. The rider app, driver app, scheduling tools and operations portal are built; the remaining launch checks cover real-device validation, notifications, public policies and the final details that matter when a product moves children.

What this project shows is bigger than any one feature: we can turn a complicated real-world service into a product that feels coherent to the people using it and controllable to the business running it.

03 Our approach

What we built

We built three connected products around the people who use Shubble every day.

Families get one app for the full trip. Parents can manage their household, arrange transport, approve rides, see trip progress, message the right person and keep important safety information close at hand.

Drivers get a clear working day. Their app turns the roster into an actionable plan with trip details, navigation, messaging and a straightforward way to report when something changes on the road.

The operations team gets one place to run the service. Staff can manage bookings, drivers, schedules, service areas, support issues and the money side without reconstructing the story from several systems.

Together, those products turn Shubble from a set of transactions into a transport service where each person can see what they need to do next.

How it works

A family chooses the trip they need and confirms the people, places and times involved. Shubble checks the request against service rules and available driver schedules, then gives the operations team a clear view of anything that needs attention.

Once a trip is ready, the driver sees it as part of their day and the family can follow its progress. Messaging, live location and status updates keep everyone working from the same information. If a driver is delayed, a time conflicts or a booking needs human judgement, the team can see the exception and take over.

Payment supports that journey without dominating it. Families can pay in the app, transactions are checked safely through Paystack and staff can manage wallets, refunds and billing history from the same operational view.

The result is not simply an app for booking a seat. It is one connected flow from the family's first request to the driver's completed trip and the operator's final follow-up.

Operating principle

A family transport platform should make everyone feel informed, prepared and in control.
